From Nags to Riches

today’s horse racing tips are now available

Thank you very much Biro for that winner, I was thinking you might have lost your touch 😉

Following our recent implementation of an automated email system for sending out the horse racing tips each day, we realise that we were being a bit naive in assuming we could post correctly each and every day without fail.  Therefore we will no longer be sending out an email with the selections.  We will send out a notification email from the blog when we have posted (and corrected) the selections each day, but you will need to visit the site to look at the selections themselves.  Hopefully this will reduice the number of emails you receive from us and thereby reduce the chance for confusion.  All blog posts will be emailed out automatically, so look out for ant last-minute “off-piste” tips in you  inbox

There are no selections in the earlier races and we will get the hore racing tips out as soon as we can, but it could be as late as 2pm

Regards

Well it certainly has been a bumpy ride this month and the old football cliche of it being a game of two halves can certainly be applied to this month’s horse racing tips.  At BSP we’re just about back in the black with the proofed selections.  With early prices available when the selections are posted, then a small profit is to be seen.  The off-piste selections shown here in the blog also help the profits

With one of the blighters winning, it leaves me a bit short in covering funds for Betfair lays whilst I get the money out of the bookies and back into the bank.  Good job I am actually going to Cheltenham tomorrow (corporate hospitality from Betfair) so will not be arbing at all.

It is always nice to have a good day punting on the horse racing tips, especially after a week like last week.  Shame about the off-piste bets

So I played with 3 arbs today for just over £130 profit. All horses lost, so the profit is now in Betfair where it will be siphoned off into my “pension fund

with £400 on across 2 bookies, the lay at 4.7 is for a backer’s stake of £473.12 securing a profit of £49.46

southwell-2012-03-12-16-02I spotted this and decided to get on quickly because the price was a bit volatile having been as low as 4.8 on Betfair.  By the time I got on at the bookies for £200 at each of Totesport and Betfred, the Betfair price had risen to almost wipe out any potential profit but a few minutes later had dropped below 5.0.  I am waiting for 4.7

Klynch secures a nice 3rd place – thank you very much Mr Race Analyser.  Watching the race, he was a bit unlucky to be boxed in on the rail otherwise he stood a chance of winning

With the arb being beaten, the money at the bookies is lost and the Betfair coffers are swollen.  I prefer this because I need more funds in Betafir to cover the lays.  Too many arbs winning means

  • too much money at the bookmakers which can take a day or two to transfer back through the bank and to Betfair
  • a higher risk of the account being limited

I am already forced with some books to use their shops as my online account is severely restricted.  I am very grateful for having mobile internet
